I was thinking (uh-oh)

It was just a thought that passed through this thing of a brain I have. Nothing more, nothing less. Just a thought.

Being refined by God’s fire is somewhat of a natural statement in the Christian Community. It refers to the process by which silver and gold are purified. The metal is placed in the fire and heated. The impurities of the metal rise to the surface and they can be scraped off. We equate that to being put through “firey trials” as the New Testament writer calls them.

So is the Lake of Fire, Hell, is this a place where Satan and his band of demons will literally burn for eternity in a real fire? Or does this Lake of Fire stand for something else?

John the Baptist said, “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but He that cometh after me . . . shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with FIRE,” Matthew 3:11.

What does that mean?

This fire in the Bible has me intrigued and dumbfounded.
